Mike

Mike Brown plays fullback for Harlequins and England Rugby team. He has been the established full back for Harlequins for over a decade as well as being their most capped player. Mike has over 70 caps for England and has won three Six Nations Championship titles with England and one English Premiership title with Harlequins.

Mike Brown is one of Harlequins’ most decorated and successful players with over 300 appearances, scoring over 50 tries and amassing over 280 points. As a graduate of the Harlequins Academy, Mike made his debut in 2005 in The Championship against Doncaster where he scored his first try. In 2013/14, Mike had a stand out year when he was named QBE Man of the Series, RBS Six Nations Player of the Championship, Supporters’ Player of the Year, Premiership Player of the Year and the RPA’s England Player of the Year. He also contributed towards Harlequins winning the English Premiership title 2011/12 season with their 30-23 victory over Leicester Tigers. As such a stalwart of the club, at the start of the 2019/20 season, one of the bars at The Stoop was renamed in Mike’s honour.

Mike’s secure catching and ability to break tackles in confined spaces are seamlessly displayed both domestically and at Test level for England. He started his England career in 2005 and won two full England caps on tour to South Africa in 2007. Mike celebrated his 40th cap, along with his Rugby World Cup debut, with two tries against Fiji at Twickenham in September 2015, and his 50th cap against Australia in England’s historic 39-28 win in Brisbane in 2016 on the tour with the 3-0 whitewash over Australia. After playing in all of England’s matches in the 2018 Six Nations, Mike was selected for the summer tour to South Africa, where he scored two tries after being switched from full-back to the wing. He has over 70 caps for England and has won three Six Nations Championships in 2011, 2016 and 2017. In 2016, he was an integral member of the team who not only won the Six Nations Championships but also the Grand Slam and Triple Crown.

Off the field, Mike married his long term partner fashion designer Eliza Woodcock in the summer of 2016 and they now have a son, Jax, together.
